SMPS Kansas City is proud to offer a formalized scholarship program to our current members. Non-members are eligible for our Annual Membership Scholarships only.

Annual Membership Scholarship (2)
Accepting applications NOW thru December 31, 2025
The scholarship covers annual membership dues through SMPS National. Two scholarships will be awarded per calendar year. If a current member is awarded this scholarship, it can be applied to that member's next SMPS National renewal.
Amplify AEC Scholarship - EXTENDING DEADLINE

Amplify AEC, hosted by SMPS National, is the premier business development, marketing, and management conference for the AEC industry. The scholarship covers conference registration at the early-bird or regular rate. Travel expenses and conference add-ons, such as the MCA awards reception, are excluded.
MVRC Scholarship

Missouri Valley Regional Conference (MVRC) is a bi-annual regional conference focused on providing professional development opportunities for business development and marketing professionals in the A/E/C industries. The scholarship covers conference registration at the early-bird or regular rate. Travel expenses and conference add-ons, such as the welcome reception, are excluded.
CPSM Scholarship

Being a Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) means that you have met a rigorous standard of experience and expertise in marketing professional services. For some, that equates to career advancement or increased compensation and benefits. For everyone, this personal investment enhances your opportunity for professional success. The scholarship offers a reimbursement of one-time exam fee upon passing the exam.
CRITERIA AND ELIGIBILITY
All scholarships are available to chapter members only (with the exception of SMPS Annual Memberships) and cover annual memberships or the full conference registration fee. Travel expenses, meals, etc. are not covered by the scholarship.
Current SMPS KC Executive Committee Board Members (president, past-president, president-elect, treasurer, secretary, and advisor) are not eligible. The chapter's Executive Committee will hold a blind selection process to determine scholarship recipients. Winners will be announced 1-2 months after applications close, if not sooner.
The scholarship applicant must meet the following criteria:

Current SMPS Kansas City member (Non-Members ARE eligible for the Membership Scholarship(s) ONLY)

Member in good standing with at least one year of continuous membership in SMPS

Marketer, Business Developer, or Technical Professional

If you meet the above criteria but have already registered for the conference, you are still eligible for the scholarship.
- Scholarship award-winners will be ineligible for another scholarship based on the following terms:
- Following notice of award, Membership winners are ineligible to receive the same award for a two (2) year period.
- Following notice of award, CPSM winners are ineligible to receive the same award for a two (2) year period.
- Following notice of award, Amplify AEC winners are ineligible to receive the same award for a five (5) year period.
- Following notice of award, MVRC winners are ineligible to receive the same award for a five (5) year period.
COMMITMENT FROM RECIPIENTS
The selected scholarship recipient(s) must commit to work with the chapter to share their conference or membership experience with SMPSKC members by speaking briefly at a chapter event, writing an article for the chapter, drafting a social media post, or some other mutually agreed upon method, to be determined jointly by the chapter board and the scholarship recipient.
HOW TO APPLY
All conference applications must be received by each scholarship's deadline(s). Check back towards the end of 2026 for our next round of scholarship offerings.
