Marketing Inside: The Importance of Internal Communications

February 22 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

When you think of marketing, you more than likely think of marketing to your customers. In the AEC industry, marketing tends to be very focused on pursuing and winning work, RFP madness, pitches and presentations, and how to “sell” your company to potential clients.

However, another “market” is just as important: your employees, the very people who can make the brand come alive for your customers by creating the beautiful designs, engineering the structures, and constructing the buildings. In our industry, due the critical mission of pursuing and winning work, it’s often times our internal audience that gets left behind. In most AEC firms, it’s the marketers who hold the responsibility of both winning work and tackling internal communications, brand campaigns, and even employee engagement.

In this session, Emily Gallagher, Vice President of Communications with JE Dunn Construction, will talk about the importance of internal communications strategies and marketing internally to improve employee engagement at your firm.
